The right to obtain a residence permit through investments in Greece are citizens of third countries that meet the following requirements:
- they own in person or through a legal entity real estate or a land plot in the amount of at least EUR 250,000 (excluding VAT),
- they signed a contract for the use of hotel apartments or furnished apartments as part of a tourist complex for a period of at least 10 years, subject to a fixed rental price of at least EUR 250,000,
- they invested in person or through a legal entity at least EUR 250,000 in a Greek investment project that has a positive effect on national development and the country's economy.
A residence permit in Greece as a result of acquiring real estate or investments does not imply requirements for a minimum period of residence in the country to obtain or extend a residence permit. A residence permit is issued for a period of 5 years and is renewed for the same period, provided that the investment is maintained. The process of obtaining a residence permit is legally limited to 2 months. The residence permit is granted to the main applicant and his immediate family.
